Dahab is a good place for you to go - its all shore diving and little temptation to go too deep unless you go up to the Blue Hole, Canyon and El Bels. I have experienced a panic attack while entering the water (years ago, it stopped me diving for years too) and will admit that I'm still a little anxious when diving in unknown water. I love Dahab because its shore entry and you just sort of sink down and follow the bottom down rather than descending into the blue. I went there and completed my AOW with a brilliant instructor (no longer in Dahab or I'd recommend him) who understood my fear and helped me through it. I am going back to Dahab to do my Rescue diver course. I keep completing courses as I do gain confidence knowing that I'm advancing my skills and knowledge.
