You're absolutely correct. Thanks for pointing that out. The link I gave was for an update to the standards and not the complete standard. My apologies.

I know that several people are down on PADI for their own reasons, but keep in mind that PADI has the only teaching standards recognized by ACE (American Council on Education) for college accredited teaching.

I could go into more detail but do NOT want this to degrade into an "us vs. them" tirade.

Suffice it to say that no matter which agency you choose, the instructor is going to be the biggest part of what yyou and your group get out of it.

Pick the best instructor.
