Our dive club has a trip planned to Pensacola the week of September 9th. With the hurricanes hitting Florida, with this affect our dive? What about visability and water conditions (roughness)? I am very new to diving and honeslty don't know a lot about hurricanes either...any info would help!

Thanks,
Amber

Bonnie and Charlie will not have an affect on your dives in three weeks off of Pensacola. However, in 3 weeks, we can have more Tropical activity, or just different 'regular' storms. Algae is in full bloom here at the moment, so off the beach, visibility isn't at its best 10-15'ish at best. Offshore, vis can range 20-70' depending on more variables than anyone can predict.
