Planning a trip - Need Help

I got a book "Divers guide to underwater america" that states Dale Hollow Lake has 130 depth and 25-30 ft vis. Iam looking for someone that dives the lake and can tell me the true story. I was thinking of driving out in april or may( as most lakes are the clearest in the spring). Let me know what the time of year and the best dive sites as well as if it's worth my time and money to travel that far.
