Hi guys,

I'm a relatively inexperienced diver - about 15 dives to my name over a number of years! I'm going to be on the east coast of sri lanka later this month and was wondering if any had any good experiences with an dive shops out there?

Any other general diving advice for the area much appreciated!

Thank you!

Earlier this summer I did a week-long tech diving trip to dive the wreck of the HMS Hermes. At a depth of 53 meters, that's considerably beyond your present level of skill and experience. However, there is another wreck nearby that is quite shallow, and probably some reef dives too. The nearby city is Batticaloa. The dive center has a name they eludes me now, but it's one of a couple of dive centers run by Sri Lanka Diving Tours. Google that name and you'll find their website. The manager or owner is a guy named Feli. His English is great.
