Remote AI computer failure poll

When I was working in a busy caribbean dive shop I could see a few folks which AI computer went dead or didnt received signal, etc etc. It is pretty frustrating to notice that 20 minutes before diving, and if you dont have an extra or a backup SPG either you dont dive or your dive will be dangerous..

Been diving AI hoseless since the mid 90's. No problems at all. I use UWATEC.

Have many divers come through with similar set ups (various brands) - again, not seen any problems with their units either.

I just don't think this is a huge deal in reality. YMMV
