I just picked up copy of a fairly new book "Risk Management for Diving Operations: How to Enhance the Safety and Proficiency of Diving Teams" by Giorgio Caramanna. Was wondering if anyone else has read it and has thoughts on it?

Waiting to hear your thoughts!:lurk:

Is it aimed at commercial diving or recreational/technical diving?

I've not heard of it. Do you have a link? I know Tec Clarke (League of Extraordinary Divers, the Dive Locker podcast) created a course a couple of years ago on Risk Management. Glad to see people starting to get interested.

Cheers! :)

Ha, I only just started it, will report back when I'm done but it seems pretty well structured with dedicated chapters on things like situational awareness, stress, environmental/physiological hazards, checklists, etc. Risk management can be pretty dry stuff if it's not well written so hopefully this isn't like that.

I think it's supposed to be more rec/tec but the broader lessons he's trying to get across could certainly be applied to commercial.
