I remember the forks and the people that used them LOL!!!! I also remember we were side by side in that current, at the time we didn't know why we were waiting, then it was our turn. I have pics, but they suck. View attachment 366784 View attachment 366785

And that is why I bought a new camera set up!!!

Keith aka MNJoe

Thank you Kate :) Sure, blame the camera!
BTW, what did you buy?

In my mind I wanted a picture of the group, fingers and forks firmly planted in the sand as we waited our turn.

I bought a Panasonic LX10, nauticam housing, YS-01 strobes and a video light. I need practice, but I will not be able to get much before Philippine's Invasion.

Okay Invasion Crew, here's T Shirt design #2.

@ROXANNE this is stunning. So imaginative.
You are making the choice very difficult.

The difficult decision is going to be which port to use on which day?
I normally shoot with my WA lens and have the GoPro mounted to the housing with a Macro +10 adapter, but I haven't had great results on the macro side with that set up. That's why I decided to get the macro port for the dslr and I'll have the GoPro available for anything bigger.

However, knowing my luck, there will be large animals when I take the macro port and small critters when I have the WA.

ATLANTIS REPLY TO YOUR QUESTION
Please remind divers we do not allow the use of gloves and any sticks/hooks or other carried items must be used responsibly

Since I have never used a stick or a hook (but I got a stick from Christmas), could someone tell me how the stick and hook are used responsibly? My understanding of the stick is to plant it in sand to keep yourself from drifting away - is there anything I should look for before planting the stick - like a ray? I have no clue on the hook. I am imaging a large meat hook. I guess I should not use the hook on my diving buddy. :p
