If you are being paid and other people are trusting you with their lives (even if they don't know that's what they're doing), it is not a recreation.
(IE: DMs and Instructors)

If you are treating it as such, you're doing it very, very wrong.

Flipside:
If you have paid to spend the weekend puttering around inside a shipwreck at 300FSW for 20 minutes then hang onto a rope staring at nothing for two hours, and say the words "mission objective" in reference to your recreation you sound like a tool.
