I am going to be purchasing a new Island model speargun in the next 60 days. I have a few questions.
1. Will the island fit into a medium sized carry bag, or do I need the large?
2. The reel attachement: I noticed that the line is rigged up tight against the rifle stock, so you have to reel it in backwards. Is this standard, or is it possible to rig like a fly rod and have the line on the reel extend from the bottom to allow "normal" reeling in?
3. Is there a manual to explain the different spear tips and rigging available, to include after market "specialty" or custom rigging?
4. Is the Island really the one for me. Everywhere I look , they say there is no one gun, and to start small, then go bigger. I will be shooting medium sized fish from Florida to North CArolina. Tuna , Cobia, Grouper, Wahoo, lobster, flounder....ect....
I am a stout 5'7". Can I handle the island, or would the No ka oi or Hawaiian be a better choice for me? Range is an important concideration.
Thanks
