OK, then the HP port could angle anyway at all; the reg is irrelevant. It could point straight up, even.yes, in every application but single tank diving.

Except Poseidons. I have never seen a Poseidon with clean hose routing. They are amazing first stages, just have no idea what they were designed to do.OK, then the HP port could angle anyway at all; the reg is irrelevant. It could point straight up, even.
I thought you were talking about the reg itself, not the port angle when mounted on a tank.
I like it. Great display. I am getting older and a large screen help. Gives me all the info I need in one screen. Fit nicely on the wrist. While the compass is accurate, still use the compass on the Datapro console. How do you like it?

Can you post a picture?
I have a lot of regs, probably literally hundreds of them. I can only think of a handful that the port goes straight out to the side in a sidemount configuration.
That is a DST knockoff. Perfect setup for sidemount. Screw in your transmitter and run it straight down the valve. It is almost completely protected by the tank crown and valve post.View attachment 756012
Hollis DCX, two HP ports 90 degrees either side of the DIN, 5 LP on the turret. Not so much worried about impact while diving, but more with racking the tank on the boat detached from the BC. Also worried about handling the tank if I dismount them at the safety stop and pass the dive crew a jon line with the tanks.
