Picked up my Stinger yesterday - five weeks & $120.00 for the "service".
Suunto has come a long way with their service and warrantees. I just ordered a Vyper and am expecting it in the next week or so. I looked up the Warranty information and Suunto and Aqualung (in the US) have an amazing warantee policy for the dive computers. **Pro-Rating for the Suunto Computer and Electronic Instrument Five Year Limited Warranty
At Aqua Lung we have recognized a need to pro-rate replacement computers and electronic instruments after the previous 2-year warranty has expired. We have implemented this new policy for our customer's satisfaction since it is sometimes difficult to evaluate and repair delicate electronic equipment. Similar to the pro-rating used in the Limited Lifetime Warranty, the following guidelines should be used to determine what pro-rated percentage to use.

Pro-rated Values for Computers sold at retail

Aqua Lung Pays Customer Pays
Like new and less than 2 years old 100% 0%
Slightly used and/or more than 2 years old 75% 25%
Used and/or more than 3 years old 50% 50%
Worn out and/or more than 5 years old 0% 100%

They also pay for the first three user replacable batteries.
