I have them and they work great. I mounted them on a 2x8 that is mounted to the back of the tool box on my truck. The bungees that come with them hold my tanks very securely.

I know this is an old post... but does anybody know what this rack is called, or have a link? I like this setup, but the links are bad.

Thanks,
Austin

It's called a Tank Escort and listed on ebay as a scuba tank cradle. Below is the link and a pic. I just ordered another set a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks, do you use 1 tank per set, or does 1 holder per tank work (2 tanks per set)? I know they are ment to have two holders (one set) per tank, just wondering if I can get away with one.

Thanks,
Austin

You might could get away with one per tank, but I want to make sure that my tanks aren't going anywhere in the back of my truck. I could be in an accident and they aren't moving with two.

I found a foam stackable set that works great, its lightweight and not bulky and holds 4 tanks. My buddy got one as well and it fits side by side we had total of 8 tanks in my truck n had room for all our gear and luggage. I'm not the best river and these tank never rolled or slipped. i got them at http://www.hookedonscuba.com/scuba-tank-holders.html

Who cares what you think. You just post for that website.

These are honestly your best bet, they go anywhere, you can use em in your trunk and then take them straight to the boat. Its made from 100% recycled foam material. I love mine! We keep 8 tanks in the back of our truck all the time and there is no slipping and no rolling and it wont peel off your stickers!
