My girlfriend is stealing my old wetsuit so I'm in the market for a new one. I've decided to go with a 3mm full wetsuit and layer it for the colder dives I want to do. I had a 5/4/3 that did the trick. So my question is this, will a 3mm wetsuit and a thermocline short sleeve shirt do just as well as my 5/4/3? Is this one of the uses of the shirt? And about how thick is it? I mean everything says it's the equivalent warmth of ~2.5mm but is it considerably thinner like a tshirt or what? Thanks.
