SPEEDSTER - That would be amazing if you could do that! I'll send you a PM .... we'll bring lots of friendly conversation with us :)
If you haven't figured it out yet, us BP divers live to show folks how well the BP-based system works!

Subject: Upcomming DIR related events in the Los Angeles area

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will be hosting another free DIR Demo day of diving at Redondo Beach this
Saturday morning 10/5. We had a bit of comments at the last DIR Demo that
suggested starting at 6:30 in the evening made it too late to effectively
demonstrate and practice in-water skills so I've decided to do it in the
daylight hours this time.

I plan on getting there by 10:00am and plan on staying until about 2:00 or
so.. I will gladly answer any questions that you have and I will also provide
BP and wings for anyone that wants to try a set, courtesy of Halcyon. Please
contact me ahead of time at mhkane@prodigy.net to make arrangements for gear.

I will also be hosting a DIR-F class over the weekend of October 25th through
27th on Catalina Island.. The class will begin in L.A. on Friday evening at
7:00pm and will end on Friday evening at approx. 10:00pm. We will take an
early am ferry to Catalina and will end the class on Sunday at approx. 4:00pm.
E-mail me for further details if you are interested. The maximum will be 6
students so you'll need to confirm ASAP.

Thanks

Subject: George Irvine speaking in Orange County, Ca. Wednesday evening

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
George Irvine, leader of the WKPP and one of the leaders of the DIR movement
will give a DIR Demo this Wednesday evening 10/2, at Scuba Toys at 7:00pm.

See
http://scuba-toys.com/storelocation.html for directions.

George will answer any questions relating to DIR. This is a prime
opportunity to learn first hand anything that you wanted to know about DIR
from one of the true pioneers of the DIR movement. George will be speaking
about a wide range of topics including his world record cave penetrations at
Wakulla, see www.wkpp.org the DIR movement that is sweeping the dive
industry and he will offer his unique prospective directly from the guy that
really started it all..

There is no charge for this DIR Demo and it is open to anyone.

Hope to see many of you there..

Thanks Roakey - I did get an email from MHK but didn't have all the details you gave.

hey, no prob. I just hope we can get together for a demo. Take that airfare and use it on something worthwhile, like gas.

Well, after exchanging a few PM's with Speedster I've decided to purchase the Halcyon 36# MC and get a few dives in with it. Thanks for the help everyone!
