Hello everyone, I just signed on with the Utila Whale Shark Research Expedition 2006 with the Shark Research Institute for a mid Febuary trip. I would like to ask for information, experiances, or any other information anyone can share with me about diving with Whale Sharks (taging and collecting DNA samples) and Utila in general. I have seen that there are several locals who post here, I would like any links or sugestions for activities while on the island. I am not sure what the itenerary is yet so I am not sure what sort of time I have available for site seeing.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Bill

bill,

My brother and I also just signed up for this trip. I think we're in the same boat, looking for info.

Are you staying on a boat or in town? If you stay in town you can walk out the whole place in about three hours or less. Bicycle, much faster. Lots & lots to do and see on Utila!! Only it's all in one place....the sea. Y'all gonna love it.

Regards,
