I'm going to be in the VA beach area for about 10 days and I was wondering how are the conditions in mid to late January. From what I'm reading it sounds like I need to dive with a dry suit. I've never done that so I guess I should take a course in dry suit diving.

Thanks

I've been drysuit diving since November, although there are some who still dive wet.

That last wetsuit dive was a bit of a stretch.

Hey Don!

How has the diving been? I haven't seen any reports on TidalFish, so I assume you haven't been shooting anything, but have you seen anything interesting recently?

(I'm trying to live vicariously through you!) :)

With this and that, my diving for the last couple of monthshas been either at the Virginia Marine Science Museum or working dives. I was in the water behind PETA scrubbing a sailboat hull a few weeks ago and have been in the Chesapeake Bay Aquarium a couple of times a week.

My most interesting dive for some time was in November when I was on the bottom of Wiloughby Bay ripping an old deadrise apart. That was wet and it was about as much as I could handle.

If the wind would be so kind as to lay down, we can get out and hit some Tautog. I've never been spearfishing before, but think I could get the hang of it pretty quickly.
