Setting up my new BP/W and have the OMS weight pockets. The problem is that I cant keep them from sliding on the strap. I dont think weight keepers will eliminate this problem. Any ideas?

I'm assuming you are talking about the waist strap. One possible solution is to use plastic (only because plastic is cheaper than SS) weight belt buckles to keep the pouches in place, the same way a light cannister is held in place on the waist belt in a Hogarthian configuration (see the Hogarthian forum). I use this method to hold a pocket for my slate in place on the right waist strap, in the same location a light cannister would normally be.

Plastic slides are also fatter than the metal ones and that should help keep the pocket from sliding over them.

If you mean these http://www.scubadoctor.com.au/diveshop/images/oms/bca-270_compact_quick_dump_weight_pocket.jpg they look identical to my Halcyon pockets

I had the same problem when I first installed them, then realised that I had put the buckle on wrong, only threading the waist belt through one side, allowing them to slide forward

I refitted them with the waist belt going through both sides of the buckle (in one and out the other), now they're solid as

Yeah, they're the non dumpable kind. Just a loop to pass the webbing through. Looks like the clips are going to be my solution if I can find them.

I just put weights directly onto the webbing. They dont move. Takes more time to set up as you have to take the buckle off but has the advantage of being free!

Out of curiosity how to fix the weight to the webbing? (I am assuming you are talking about raw blocks of lead weight)

Ways I have seen:
1. Screws
2. Metal weight belt slides (Plastic one break in this particular application in my experience because uncovered weight can slam right down on it.)
3. Using the buckle to keep it in place. Usually done by offsetting the buckle to one side.
4. And the most common, hammering the lead til it pinches the webbing.

But there might be ones I have never seen.
