I went to a garage sale and saw a regulator called US Divers Conshelf 22. The owning lady did not know how old it has been. I paid 45 USD and got it. If that something I can have serviced anywhere and start diving? I got it for decoration.

yes, they still can be serviced as aqualung still offers the service kits. if it has not been used recently though, there may be parts that need replacement that would be harder to come by as they are EOL and have to be sourced from leftover NOS, especially if you have one of the yellow plastic octos with cracking.

The Conshelf series 1st stages are all the same internally, and parts are still available.... I have and use everything from a Conshelf VI, to a Conshelf SE2 to a Conshelf 21. I prefer the older metal Conshelf seconds, the the plastic ones are functionally the same (most parts are interchangeable too). The 22 is the second generation of plastic seconds, and not near as prone to cracking by the inlet port as the first gen.
Conshelf's are also a pretty good intro to self service... very little in the way of special tools needed and standard replacement parts (service kits) are easily sourced.

Respectfully,

James
