refer to my "status"..... small batch.... though I did have an exceptional wheat whiskey last evening...

Rum.

Malibu Coconut Rum on the rocks.

Americans tend to be funny with words. They call a game they play with hands and an egg "football" and some strange mild liquid they have they call "beer".

American mass-market beers are very much like making love in a canoe.

Is that a bad thing? Sounds entertaining.

I voted for rum, but I think it's time for a little Marker's Mark on ice.

Naturally, I voted for rum... and by rum I mean real navy rum not this candy-arsed watery crap that passes for rum but has no bloody color.

And when it come to beer -- a nice beverage to drink while someone is opening another bottle of rum -- I would like to remind you all of this very sound advice.

"Beer with an alcohol content of less than five percent is for children and the infirm."

Please drink responsibly... which includes doing your bit to keep the brewing and distilling industries solvent.

By the way: Marker's Mark is a perfectly acceptable substitute for rum...

It was either the Maker's Mark or Kracken. For some reason bourbon just seemed good today. And, I was right.

BTW, you should not be able to see clearly through your rum or your beer (stouts and porters are preferable)

They make beer <8% and what is this see through beer you are all muttering about?

I've seen it. I swear. Don't know why they drink it, but I've seen it.
