Great thread - even though it was started almost four years ago. I dive when and where I can, warm water, cold water, ocean, lake, it doesn't matter. One thing is a constant however, every dive teaches me something new.

I've got friends that won't dive at the lake because it's yucky or cold or whatever. Glamorous it ain't but diving the cold, dark, murky lake is an educational experience every time.

By the way, I also appreciate all of the divers who are happy to share what they've learned over the years - it always helps.

By the way Fitzy, do you still consider yourself a newby?
