Question Why are diving-rated gloves usually dark colors?

I dunno..... I guess you could research it. I do know that when solo night diving in Bonaire right there on Bari Reef that there were instances where I'd light up a bright tang or wrasse in my video light and then out of nowhere a tarpon would swoop in lighting fast and devour it right in front of my face... Never had a "bite" personally......and my hands are a white contrast to my dark rashguard.......but just say'n...
Tarpon just do that...nothing to do with your hands...just your light.
 
One of my buddies wears his marigolds inside out to make them white so he’s easier to recognise underwater.

Thought that may be interesting to you, if you wanr to look different.
