Why is the "gold line" gold?

Interesting reels there....are those the Dark Monkey reels?


I think it's interesting that there are two "flavours" of goldline out there :)

The reel? Kord Manager Extension Cord Reel, 150' # KW-130 by Bayco

$7 and carries 200m of goldline(or 150' of extension chord). Kinda makes you sick for paying $100+ for a primary reel that holds less than 200m of 24# braided line eh?

By two kinds of goldline, you mean that goldline with the other color weaved in? Its the same stuff, and probably just a produt of what was available. Its all PMI 4mm accesorie chord, $72ish for 100m.

All that, in addtion to another 300m of goldline, was installed in Wakulla County last month. Its a mix-match of the solid "gold" stuff, and the kind with the other color braided into the sheath.
