Hi!

It is a while that I wanted to dive La Jolla instead of the "usual" DeadMan @ Crescent-Laguna ....... so I am planning to join the party for the morning session.
What times do you guys/gals plan to get there Saturday morning?

I managed to convince my wife to join me - with the promise that we will tour San Diego in the afternoon and go line dancing in the evening.

Now I am trying to convince her to prepare a Lasagna ..... YES, I hear you ... we are Italian and the lasagna is hand made.
How many people will be there? Is anyone bringing "something" to keep the lasagna warm? Maybe an SUV with a microwave? Or we just put the lasagna on the engine before eating it?
Please cheer for me ... and I promise you will like it.

By the way, I will need a buddy.

Regards,

I AM

It's starting to look pretty certain that I'll be there with dive buddy Andrea and her BF Peter. Any ideas on what we should bring, Christian?

We're talking about diving Laguna on Sunday... much as I'd like to dive more at La Jolla, but I think there will be more mainland diving in my future. Got to get some of that great video footage that you can't get on Catalina.

Speaking of which, filmed a 25 sec sequence of two bat rays mating the other day at Eagle Reef. That's why they call me the "underwater pornographer!"

A few people are asking both in the thread and via PM, so I thought I'd just post an answer here.

The first post is updated with the number of people in attendance whenever I become aware of a change.

If you are or are not on the list in the first post and it should be changed, just let me know and I'll change it.

The first post also has a short list of items that we want, but if you can think of other things to bring, then by all means go for it!

I find that once we have the charcoal, burgers, dogs, buns and condiments that no matter what happens the BBQ will be a success.

Not everyone likes burgers and hot dogs, so feel free to bring what you do like. This is just a simple pot luck and it's all about having fun!

Finding buddies is never a problem with this group, so just show up.

I hope that helps.

Christian

I've just booked a hotel at La Jolla, so it looks like wife and I will be able to actually MAKE IT this time!

Since it looks like the healthy stuff has already been covered, I'll bring some interesting cookie things from Trader Joe's.

You can probably expect us on the shore some time around 10:00 or so...we're not early risers. We'll hang around for lunch and late afternoon, but have a party to attend Saturday night.

I really look forward to it!! :D

ok, im in

I'm bringing my HP120 filled with 48% if anyone wants to drop down to the shelves at 350ft, let me kinow........oh, I must also have my octo detuned, that constant free flow is annoying.

I'll dive with you. Do you think my LP30 will give me enough bottom time. If not, I have a snorkle extender I can use.

Just got back about 2 hours ago. If conditions hold underwater, its going to be a really nice dive day. Solid 20ft of visibility below 50ft. Coldish at 50degrees but man its clear out on the Point. Lots of life out. No surf tonight. GORGEOUS. See you all Saturday.
