I like my Aeris Atmos AI computer but I'm unimpressed with the software interface used to access dive data. Are there superior options that are compatible with it ?

Which version of the software are you using?
Version 2.03 was just posted to the web site on 02/24/2006.

I was a big critic of the version 1.x of the software.
I called Aeris to complain over a year ago and all I got was a pro-forma statement from the person saying "our developer's are proud of the software interface they developed".
I told him that I have been developing commerical software since 1972 and that is a poor excuse for lousy programming.
I called back just recently and talked to the person responsible for the sofware at Aeris (different person than I talked to last year). He appeared to be really customer focused. I told him that version 2.02 was a big improvement over version 1.x. I also reported a few bugs. He acknowledged that they were bugs and that he would get them fixed.
I just looked at the release notes for version 2.03 (posted 02/24/2006). The release notes indicate that they fixed the bugs with the buddy and the gear bag functions.
I will have to install it and try ity out to make sure the problems I reporteed are fixed.
