What a pain... I need Suggestions...

SO...
I live in San Jose CA
am and TRYing to get certified

I was going to get certified at Any Water Sports
On Saratoga ave
and i registered for the class in July
but they called and said
the class was full for this weekend
because students were being held over from the last class
(what??)
and the next available class would be in
September!

Does anyone have any recommendations for other dive shops in the area??
the more the better

Have you checked Diver Dan's on El Camino in Santa Clara? Their website shows classes starting pretty much every week. http://diverdans.com/classes/openwater.aspx

I use an instructor who is not associated with a shop. He's located in south San Jose.

Well the website does have an August class, that isn't full isn't it?

You can also try Stan's skin & dive. They're located on Bascom Ave in San Jose on the side of Highway 17. The shop owner/instructor is gonna start the class this Tuesday July 24, don't know if the class is full but check it out.

I would try AWS again. They have multiple instructors (usually) running multiple classes on different schedules (for example weekenders, nights, etc...)

Tried! but there is only one class being offered in August, (weekend of the 17th) and I have a prior engagment. And the next one they offer is in September!

I was taught through Sport Chalet. Looks like there is one in San Jose. Might not be everyone's first choice for instruction, but they get the job done.
