HOLY CRAP! Those were my first thoughts when I first hit the bottom at Navarre Beach earlier today. All the pier rubble has been exposed and some of the rubble has a 5-6 foot reveal. There is concrete debris everywhere. Stuff I never had any indication it was there. It was like diving the I-10 bridge rubble in the gulf, with one exception, this is only 20 feet! Bif fish have moved in and there were more than a few big schools of snapper, grouper, some AJ's (Nothing Big), 3-4 nice trigger fish, Spades, massive schools of Atlantic Bumpers (I think that what thery were), 6-7 sting rays, Damsels, Mackerals.........Wow! It was awesome. I'm just at home for a few minutes to get lunch and more tanks and I'm heading back! Viz was about 30 feet, there is a lot of trash around the rubble, may be worth organizing a beach cleanup dive, if anyone is interested. If you haven't dove Navarre Beach Pier, now is the time, If you've dove it before in the past, you won't recogonize it. If you're interested in diving it, PM me, I could dive this one every day right now! Can I say Wow again?....... WoW! :D

There are easily 5 newly exposed areas of rubble, here is some video of one such area:

Man thats sounds awesome. I hope to get over there soon. My father-in-law will be here tonight or tommorow and then I will do a check-out dive with my ear at Vortex. If everything is good it's going to be on like donkey kong.... I can't believe I have been out of the water for this long.

The high tides for this week at Navarre start off very early and then venture into nice morning dive times later in the week:

With the amount of rubble relief uncovered at Navarre I would bet that the P-Cola reef was uncovered as well. Maybe if someone has a kayak they can push out there real quick and take a look.

I was thinking about going to P-cola bch and taking a look so I guess I will tomorrow. I'm glad to hear about Navarre if anyone wants to get out there this week before Ike has a chance to mess things up let me know.

I was hoping the storm would uncover some rubble!!!!! Jim you'll have to post about pensacola beach- if its good we need to do some diving!

I'm going to throw my gear in the car and try to hit P'Cola tonight. But I'm telling you that P'Cola at its best is nothing compared to what Navarre is right now!
