I'll be in Fort Lauderdale on 12/10/2011 and would like to dive in the afternoon or early evening. I posted a few weeks ago and received some great links to local clubs, but so far none of the 12/10 options work. I'm staying by the airport and will have a car. I will need to rent a tank and regulator set. A shore dive would probably be easiest for me to work around, but I'm open to exploring a charter.

Thanks,
Brian

just hit Datura ave in Lauderdale by the sea----swim out to the buoys and drop and you'll be fine.. no buddies needed except all your fish friends.. only 15-20 ft.. stay at least 100 from the pier! a fish hook in your neck isn't particularly enjoyable..

Hope the weather will cooperate for you!

Thanks. I may do that if I can't find others. Do shore divers in the area typically dive solo? I've done a lot of solo dives off of Venice beach but I've never seen it as common practice elsewhere.
