I wasn't sure where to post this thread, so I posted it here since I'm new to Scuba.

Also, I did a search and didn't find anything related to this, so my apologies if this question has already been asked.

I have my first pool dive next weekend, and someone I know has offered to let me borrow an old snorkel and mask. I want to clean them to kill any germs that may be lurking around, but I want to be sure not to damage them. Any suggestions as to what kind cleaners would be safe to use?

Warm water and a little soap (Lux, Dawn, Ajax). Very little soap will do it mixed in the water not applied directly to the mask. Also remember to rinse it in fresh non-soapy water very well.
