Photo Count

Why does the photo count in my gallery (if you can call it that ) and what is shows beneath my name when I post differ? On a post it says I have 176 pictures but in reality I have only 84 (some of which I plan to delete as well). I can only assume that if I upload and delete, SB only records the uploads and not what reality currently is.

It is because - SB and the Gallery are 2 separate databases. The "Photo Count" in your SB profile vs.. the actual count in your SB Gallery are based on 2 different queries. The one on your SB profile is a query that reads from SB to the Gallery, and tallies the number of photos uploaded to your profile. So really it is "Photos Uploaded" in your SB profile.

Also - To be extremely technical...

The query from SB to the gallery only runs twice an hour.. So if you upload photos - your SB profile stats may not reflect the new photos for at most - 30 minutes.
