So i got my open water certification few weeks ago and well i want to get stared with spearfishing and wanted to know which gun you guys recommend for someone staring?

a polespear  it'll help teach you patience and get you started on trying to learn all the different fish you encounter while diving. i've been using a foldspear for a few months and landed some hogs, chubs and lionfish. finally getting my first gun on Friday. An enclosed track Mako 110 with triple 14mm bands. Do some research and learn the different types of guns, muzzles, styles, etc.

Makospearguns.com makes some good stuff and has pretty much anything you might need to get started including polespears if you choose to go that route. Your intended game should determine your weapon of choice, and they certainly can advise.
