I'm looking to buy a trimix capable computer in the future, with AI.
Currently using Oceanic+ on Apple Watch which is actually excellent and has a very good UI/UX, especially underwater. Doing my Deep/Into to Trimix cert recently I hired a Shearwater Perdix to have trimix functionality. I can see the many advanced options are great and I would use them but the UI/UX is pretty horrible although I'm sure I'd get used to it eventually.
Has anyone gone from SW to Ratio and can comment on this aspect? Ratio seems to be quite a step up from SW in this regard but hard to tell without using one.
 
Love mine but the USB adapter is complete s..... and very expensive to replace.

Does some one know any other brand that would work with Ratio dive computers?

In a recent support conversation with them they said they are currently working on updating it to be USB-C, but no eta on it.

I find that the connection to the Ratio is fine, but the USB connector is way dodgy and I know its only a matter of time before something gives. I've gotten around the problem by using a LastCable (The Last Cable - Charge all your devices! (Free Warranty & Guarantee)) and leaving one of the micro-usb adapters permanently plugged into the adapter. If I accidentally knock it while its charging, the magnetic connector just detaches with no risk of damaging the adapter.

The USB port on my adapter broke, and I had to buy a new connector, which was very expensive. I recommend that you don't keep the usb cable connected to the adapter when it isn't in use, and treat it like it is made of glass. Any lateral movement on the cable and it is so easy to break.

I tried to fix mine, but no luck. The PCB is flexible and the connectors to the USB port are tiny. If you have a contact I can talk to about getting my broken one replaced, I'd love to get into contact. I didn't get a response when I asked if they had a cheaper shipping method for a new adapter because mine had broken.

I wish the iDive Color had Blue tooth, but we need to use the connector for data and charging, and you also need the adapter for charging the transmitter. It would be good if transmitters shipped with their own adapter, that way, at least we'd get spares.

The moulded fitting on the oxygen analyser is much more robust, and I wish they did the usb adapter in the same style.

Does the last cable support data transfer as well. I like it as a solution.

Since Ratio told me that this is the way it is mend to be, I taped a usb cable to the connector tightly together. They seem much stronger and safer this way.

All the correspondence I had with them was through info@ratio-computers.eu. They were a bit slow to reply (seemed like they were checking e-mails every second day or so) but eventually I solved the issues I had.
 
Question for those with the iX3M 2, does the planning software allow you to plan dives longer than 2 hours? I have the iDive Easy and the planning software on the watch will not allow dives to be planned longer than an hour & you cannot plan multiple dives back to back. Is this the same issue with the iX3M 2?

60 minutes seems to be the maximum.
(I might be missing something but that's the maximum time value I'm allowed to key in).

That exactly what Im getting with the watch versions. Seems an oversight in a "tech" computer. Odd that this was over looked

Yes, maximum bottom time in the planner is 60 minutes. The actual dive plan will extend to as long as your deco profile requires.

TBH, if you're planning dives with a bottom time greater than 60 minutes are you realistically doing your plan based on a square profile dive computer simulation, or are you going to be planning it properly using Subsurface or MultiDeco or the like?

I use MultiDeco for all my planning, it was more of an observation on the Ratio Computers. Actaully more confused that they don't have a multi dive planner available on the computers.
