Checked with hubby and he's got something going on Nov. 4th so I'm free to dive :D

That's great news. I have feelers out with some others to fill out the weekend of November 3/4. I feel like a Little Leaguer on tag day!

I now around here lot's of divers are wrapping it up for the season. Hopefully there are enough of you folks still diving to help keep a Mainers gear damp for a weekend. I'll need to decide for Monday morning. Give me a shout if you think you're may be up for something in the Columbus/Gilboa region, especially on Saturday.

I hope to meet lots of you!
Pete

OK, count me in for Sunday. Looks chilly, I'll bring my tent & heater. Are we staying on the shallow side?

Spectrum - Looking forward to meeting you! The low looks to be in the upper 30's on Saturday night up at Gilboa, with Sunday reaching mid-50's.

Ken - Are you diving this weekend?

TG - No outing is complete without you babe! :D Good to know you're not being rained on today!

Ber - Really?!?!? Only one for check-outs? Back to this weekend, setting camp in the usual spot?

I'll be diving Saturday, Spectrum wants to try out White Star, so I'll go up there with him. Anybody else is also welcome to come on up there too.

TG - Steve's right, where've you been lately, haven't seen much from you in a while? Feel like diving White Star Saturday?

That's going to be Spectrum's call in the end but it would be a reverse profile; we need free-flow and emergency drills on a shallow dive for familiarization with each other first.

Steve has an unnatural fascination with checking the weather forecast :eyebrow:

We shall see how many end up going, it could easily be more but right now I have one confirmed.

Hoping to get the usual spot, on a Sunday I'm not sure how that will work out.

Hey this is sounding great.:jump:

I'll be away from the puuter for most of the day but I'll check in tonight.

I checked with the dive shop at White Star - there will be no one there the rest of 2007. There is a dive shop he gave me the number for, but it is about 40 minutes away he said.

So, still want White Star Saturday, or regroup for another option?

Pete could fill up with air here in Columbus before making the trip if he's got his stuff with him. I could loan him 3 or 3 cylinders for the trip, too. He could fill them here in Columbus before he drives to the quarry.

Hey Pete, if you need to borrow equipment let me know. I've got a BP/wing, weights, regulators, and cylinders I'll let you borrow if you need any of it.

Wow, how much air can we get out of your doubles??? I'll bring a spare octo so we can get extra. :D

Likewise to meet you!

Looks like it'll be just a little milder than what I'm leaving behind. That works, after all it will be November. I never got to dive out of a heated tent, you folks have class!

We'll see but I suspect that since I'll be diving wet it will make for some very thin neoprene in very cold water. But I may have some other options. :D

EDIT, after looking at the map going over the wall sure seems likely if not diving from the deep side. Let me get grounded and we can talk about what's in/down there.

I don't have any heartburn about a reverse profile.
