I literally just got back from the T&C Aggressor. I had a great trip and would them recommend to anyone, though have not done the Explorer to compare. Capt Piers, Belinda, Amanda, Brian and Patty were terrific, ditto on the food. The Explorer was near us for a couple days, but I didn't see any divers. Her Capt helped Piers fix a dive site buoy while I was there.

The Aggressor is still at Turtle Cove and all diving is directly from the big boat. We saw turtles, sharks, a manta ray, lionfish and lots of other cool critters. Great wall diving. The viz was a little churned up (maybe 50' on avg) but no big deal to me.

Cheers and enjoy whichever way you go.

thanks everyone for posting info on these boats. We are considering doing T&C either on Aggressor or Explorer and it is nice to see so much positive feedback. The diving itself sounds fabulous and if our spring Nekton group trip doesn't pan out, I think I am going to try booking one of these boats for just us. We are completely sold on liveaboard diving!!!:D

one more loooong month until Palau on the BBE!

What I'd like to know, in addition to information about two liveaboards, is what is the general state of diving in Turks and Caicos?

I mean is it exceptioinal diving there? What can you compare it to, if anything at all?

I think I will be going on the T&C Explorer in January right after I finish a trip on the Aquacat. I was on Explorer's St Kitts to St Maarten run this past year and they were GREAT. I look forward to trying out T&C with them.

We were on the T&C Aggressor in May....I thought the ship and the crew were top shelf...the diving was awesome....sharks on every dive....most dives eagle rays....reefs were in great shape...walls drop off into the abyss....I don't know what I would compare it to....all dive destinations IMO are different...but if I ever get the chance to go back I will....

T&C has exceptional diving and the sites around West Caicos and French Caye are especially suited to liveaboard diving. Most of the moorings are set in the shallow, sandy areas and the boat tails off toward, or over, the wall. You don't need to follow the leader on the dives if you don't want to and it's easy to find fthe boat coming back. You can do whatever depth profile you want and then work your way up and end the dive in the shallow stuff under the boat.

Keep talkin!!! I'm getting more excited all the time.

I leave for the T&C Explorer on Saturday! :D
