Sounds very fair. I guess the challenge is on. :boxing: Wonder if it will be accepted?

Kickin at Nai Harn with the Rasta Bar and surfin a sponge sounds pretty chill to me.
Good barrels off the rocks at the North end. "Good on ya Bro" :cool2:

Last few days have been GREAT! Yesterday I spend 4 hours on the water at Nai Harn and some barrels made me fly! Today I'm barely able to walk though and I'm hurtin' like hell!!
Still; I'm probably on the beach tomorrow again....

surin -- good point. I think if that certain someone were to go to a certain shop without disclosing who he was (paying) and then said afterward and could prove he was indeed that certain someone, a refund would be forthcoming to provide the free day.

That sounds like an excellent offer!!...and on reflection I have also been dissatisfied with many, many operations across Asia for a number of years. In fact every dive trip I have been on has been a bit lousy in one way or another e.g. DMs not sexy enough, not enough whale sharks, toilets with fragments still floating around etc.

Maybe it's time for a few free trips!

It depends how bad the experience was, everyone makes mistakes, and most people deserve a second chance, but there are mistakes and down right incompetent and unsafe.
And I am afraid in my opinion second chances are not deserved or given when it comes down to serious safety issues.
Regardless of half price offers and even offers of free days.

I think anyone with common sense reading repeated whinges about one day nearly a decade ago is smart enough to discount the credibility of the whinger and realize it has no relevance to today. Some people simply need attention and are incapable of gettng it legitimately.

Hi again.
How you getting along with your new neighbour at the bottom of Soi 6 (DSEA), oh and the Katoeys in the bar opposite your shop,:blinking: I hope you are all well.
Can you believe it 2 shops within 100 meters of each other both of which have owners/operators with the same level of bad manners, ignorance and contempt towards their customers. They must be doing something right???
One of them I am now reliably informed has even been using instructors that do not hold the correct certification to work in thailand, very proudly telling me he is doing visa runs to Cambodia every 15 days. How professional I must say.
And by the way, how is your consideration of reversing your price increases after the reduction in fuel prices earlier this year.
As you started to consider this in January, and fuel prices have not significantly increased again, your consideration is obviously in depth.

No...because you should never dive with any of them....555

A poor experience many years ago does seem invalid today...

...as is a retrial of the same dive centre (even a free one). Because, as long as the dive centre knows that the dissatisfied customer in question is coming back (which they are certainly bound to if it is a free day's diving) AND that this particular customer tends to slag them off all over the place then the dive centre would probably make sure the customer was well looked after this time around thus making the whole experiment, ie a general test of the quality of the dive centre, rather ineffective.

From the customers point of view...sounds like a winner though. Free day's diving being treated like a king. Excellent!!

I dont particularly slag off Aquanauts, if you study the history of my posts on here I have mentioned a number of shops and in my opinion the Pattaya way is grossly overpriced and the service to customers leaves a lot to be desired at all the shops I have dived with, and there are many.
