I also don't like to use my hands because my hands are for holding things underwater. If my hands are holding someone, I don't want to suddenly be unable to do a maneuver because I'm so used to doing it with my hands. My fins will never hold anything so try do all my maneuvering with my fins. Second nature and all that.

Anyways, are you going to try them out at the park this weekend? Man viz was INCREDIBLE last week!! Question though, you generally dive with a video camera right? Will you be trying the gloves with the camera in your hands?

I know you have been watching Marian and I dive!

I will try them this weekend if they arrive today. And Yes, I almost never dive without the video camera and am interested if they will hinder the operation. However, there are times when a slight hand flick aids in keeping the camera still and on subject (without resorting to grabbing something), so maybe these will help me, maybe not - I'll let you know.

All this other nonsense about if you use your hands you must not be a good diver business is silly and cracks me up.:rofl3:

Yeah, it pretty much is silly. Even sillier is the notion that using these gloves will make you a better diver.

How silly of dive agencies to teach people NOT use their hands. What was I thinking? * whaps myself in the forehead *

Right! No glove or any other gear will make you a better diver. Experience and the ability to evaluate situations, solutions and consider new ideas does.

That's the most arrogant and stupid post I've ever seen. :D

Humph! :D

Your arms do not have the strength behind them that your legs do. This will cause a diver to exert more and therefore blow through air quicker AND build-up CO2. For minor adjustments....maybe but that happens so rarely that just your hands works just fine.

Getting shot is a bad idea and hurts. I don't have to get shot to know it's bad. I don't have to use these to see that they are not for scuba.

Anyone with a reasonable mind can look at something and know it's not a good idea. I'm not against a good idea, but sometimes, and this is one of those times, life experience and common sense gives one a hint that something just isn't a good tool for the situation.

I,m not here to bow at the alter of arrogance and ignorance.
I invite any intelligent debate. However I see no value in allowing an entire Idea to be dismissed so easily by a small handfull who obviously feel somehow challenged by the idea.

Ain't it funny how when you finally give someone the fight they've been looking for they immediatly cry foul.

This has been a blast I do have better things to do

See ya

It's human nature to dwell on the negative remarks of people around us, especially when it's personal. In this case, it's your business, but it's personal because it is YOUR business.

Might I suggest a step back and to evaluate the situation?

You came here giving away your product to get reviews. Instead of just reviews from those who are diving your product, your getting the mindset of divers all over the world. Why is this a bad thing? Yes, they all grasp the concept of WHAT your product is for and WHAT they can achieve by using it, but until they try it for themselves, you will continue to have people say, "It's not for me" -- Also remember, when people are behind their keyboard, they have all the answers. Like me in this post :D

I know how hard it is to run a business online and how tough the criticism can be, hell myself and a partner opened a scuba tank distribution company 3 months ago, it's hard work for little pay. One bad day can ruin a new business, your comments weight heavily on your reputation, on this board more than any other because of it's size. So far today you've called someone ignorant and essentially gave up and walked away, not looking good so far and people on this board will definitely talk about it.

You are the face of your business, you have to always smile! :D

OH, and everything you type on this board, will be archived for YEARS for everyone to see.

so what kinds of deals do you have on scuba cylinders? :)
