Are you guys using a STA with the HOG 32 wing or do you find the sewn in ribs to be enough?

I don't use a STA. I haven't found a need for one. I have two BP/W. One is set up for doubles, and the other for warm water Caribbean diving. I don't want the extra weight in my luggage.

Okay I've made my decision I'm going with the hog 32lb wing, does anyone know if there are any deals out there better than this?

That is where I bought my warm water BP/W. No complaints, and it was the best deal I could find. They had a sale going on when I bought mine ($199.00). Looks like popularity has increased the price. None the less, a good deal.

That rig from Diver's Supply is exactly what I have. It is one of the best deals on the internet. I got it with the SS BP and the 2-in crotch strap. The BP is fine, but it actually weighs a bit under 6 pounds. Mine is about 5.5. I got my cam bands and screws elsewhere. I hadn't seen it on their site lately. I might pick up one for my son.

It's back to the drawing board for me, ordering those items at their regular price will come to $326 before taxes and that's without cam bands and the crotch strap. I'm now looking at this package:

I am looking for the same type rig as SIK. Here is what i am finding:

Hammerhead SS PB: $79

Comes out to $346

I was also looking at a Hollis Series S 25lb donut for $239 or the Mach V for $272, but the HOG for $199 is hard to pass up!

If you use the drop down boxes you can build a package and save money on the options. I need to call and find out if the 32# will actually work for me. I am glad to hear that you guys have had a good experience with the HOG wing. It is a lot less expensive than other wings with the same lift. I have bought items from this company before and I was very happy with their service. They actualy refunded some of the shipping cost when I purchased a light because they were able to find a cheaper shipping rate.

I have recently lost 50#, and I had to sell my Oceanic Excursion because it didn't fit anymore. I was originally looking at going back with the Excursion or a Zeagle Ranger, but my brother in law has talked me into a bp/w. I will probably go with the deluxe harness because I dive cold water with a 7mm and warm water with a 3/2mm, and I think the extra adjustablity will handy. I have only dove warm water since I have lost the weight, and I used 6# less lead with the Excursion than I had before. I have no idea how much weight I will need for the cold water I usually dive. I am 6'2" and 205#, and I think that I will fine.

I know this was a little off topic, but any input would be awesome

I think the 32 lb wing will probably work with your 7mm.....

Do you wear a weight belt or will you put all the lead on the BP/W?

I put all my ballast on my BP/W and a 32 lb wing provides just enough left....

I am 5'10" and 180 lbs.....for my 7mm I use 10 lbs of lead with a SS BP and LP95 tanks...

Plus it has a pig on it, can't get enough dive gear with pigs on it......

Hi all!
How long is the corrugated hose on the hog 32 wing? I am also interested in purchasing a hog wing, however the hose looks a bit short. I currently dive a dive rite trek wing which has a 16 inch hose on it. Thanks in advance.
