Went to 120ft at Palancar Brick in Cozumel looking at a splendid toad fish. Other than him, not much more to see that can't be seen at 60-80ft where I prefer to stay. And then 109ft in the Valhlla Missle Silo, theoretical depth of 118ft in 59 degree water.

Nothing exciting guess I'm a rule follower.

205 feet at Boca Slagbaai Bonaire. Solo and stupid!

Hi all,
I just did a dive today. Its not my deepest. Just my 2nd deepest. My 1st was 151ft. After which me and my dive buddy vowed if we ever went past rec limits again on air. That we would just use mixed gas. Today's dive was 137ft. But, this time I was with my Instructor who is a Master Scuba Diver trainer. Before we jumped I explained to him what happened in my 151ft dive and he said, lets descend slowly this time. Well, we jumped as we went over 100ft. We descended slowly. When we reached 137ft and stopped.I was doing fine and didn't feel any different compared to shallower depths. I really enjoyed this dive today. And I am looking forward to where him and I can go out. He said, nxt time we are assisting in training a group. Him and I will just peel off and leave the group and go alittle deeper this time and see how I feel. After today. I am not soo nervous about going alittle deeper. just my .02 cent and wanted to share this with you guys...

Sorry, I forgot to add this was for my Final Dive for my Deep Diver Specialty Course..

I was the most conservative of a group of 8 (plus 2 DM's) on Maricabo Wall in Coz - I stopped at 154, some were pushing 200. It was a really experienced group and was planned as a deep dive for short duration. No problems (other than I shared air with a diver, who was at 800psi at 60 feet on the way up and happened to not mention it to the DM, to get him up to safety stop safely). After a 20 minute SI we did Columbia Shallows on Nitrox for a 94 minute safety stop.
I too have learned that most of the good stuff is shallower than 100 and can be seen really well from 70. I'd rather 70 minutes over 100 feet any day.

20 minute surface interval? Now that is ridiculous. After a 154 ft dive?

There is deep air and then there is stupidity, and then there is even further which would be a "94" minute safety stop you mentioned. Are you still narced? Or did you get your numbed mixed up?
