I'm also looking at a used halcyon eclipse 40 with an hp steel 100 (needs viz + hydro) for $600. Any thoughts on that offer?

Seriously? Is it too suspiciously low?

Considering a new SP X-Tex setup runs close to a grand, yah.

It clearly says Scubapro X-Tek Sport Tek on the back of the wing, but as far as google is concerned it doesn't exist.
Maybe it's an X-Tek wing on somebody else's plastic backplate. Wings are pretty universal as long as the slots line up. In the current X-Tek line there's only a 30/40/60 Donut wing or a 60lb. Horseshoe wing. Of course it's possible they sold one previously.

Whether its suspiciously low or not I guess depends on how suspicious you are, does seem rather cheap though. chrpais idea of re selling isn't a bad one. I'd pass because I A) Woudnt dive it and B) unlikely to be able to on sell it.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Halcyon bpw and steel 100 for $600?

That's certainly the real deal. Maybe it's a Canadian version. Post over in the ScubaPro forum and see if Kate or Harry can ID it. SCUBAPRO

Good idea, but this is actually the even older X-Tek original version.

X-Tek 1995-1999 ? (The pictures are of this one)

S-Tek 2000-2004 ?

New X-Tek (which is at least sometimes just rebadged Halcyon) 2009-

FWIW the original X-Tek was better than any Transpacs until the latest iteration of the Transpac XT.

FWIW I have bought and sold these original X-Teks for $125 including the wing.

Interesting. No wonder there's no info on it anywhere. The price being so low, as long as it holds air and looks to be in decent shape I'll probably pick it up. Likely it's still better than the glitchy, poorly sized Beuchat jacket I'm using now.

Yup, buy it and dive it. If you like it, great. Else, flip it for $100 profit, sell he Beauchat and step up to a DRIS / Hog BP/W for just a little bit more.
