My avatar is a Feather Star that I first saw and photographed on a dive in Fiji. I had been seeing them attached to coral, and not knowing what they were, thought they were a species of soft coral or hydroid. I almost dropped the regulator from my mouth when one released itself from its perch and started swimming right in front of me. Luckily I had a camera with me, and was mesmerized how it moved through the water. They are beautiful creatures.
