What is everyone’s opinions on buying gear online ?
If you do. do you have checked out before you use it or do you use it straight out of the box ?
After a thorough visual inspection of course.

i buy gear online regularly. visual inspection then try in pool first. Im all about supporting LDS (and i still do) but they are all a bit of a drive and online sales are often hard to beat.

Ty for your input.
I am new to scuba but always been a water person. I have done lots of snorkeling and free diving. I am looking at package deals with leisure Pro and divers supply
I worry about the size in the BCD.

I am all about supporting my LDS also.
The online price as you said can’t be beat in most cases.

Give your shop a chance to match. Packages are notoriously not really deals....

i drank the koolaid and switched to BP/W a while back. gotta say, you'll be happier with a BP/W and you wont have to worry about getting the size wrong.
if youre looking to save money, keep an eye on their clearance tab. lots of gear that was never used but because it was taken out of the box, is being sold cheap.

Oh I am. But I had them look at the the mares pak on LP for like $600+
They told they will see what they can do.
How ever on the LDS website they have about a 50% mark up vs LP
