As in the title, how do you prevent the pocket from sliding off the strap when you pull it?

When I dive we have to take our kit off in the water and have it lifted into the boat. On my 1st dive immediately after I pulled the waist strap and took off the BP I thought, oh shoot... the pocket. Looked down in the water and there it was slowly on its way to 90ft. Luckily someone was beside me and I asked him to dip down and grab it. On the next dive I remembered, removed it and toss it into the boat.
Going forward it has a couple of little D rings on it, so I think I will carry a extra double ender and hook it to my right D ring as soon as I pull the waist strap.

Any other options?

I asked Eric and his pocket is small enough there is room to place it behind the right hip d ring.

I use the same kind of buckle used for a weight belt but with nothing attached to it. This is a common way of keeping canister lights in place. On some dives when I am not feeling in "tech mode," I replace the canister light with a bellows pocket, but I use the same buckle to retain it. On still other dives, I have used it to retain a PLB canister. I suppose I might be able to fit the PLB canister AND the pocket behind the buckle, but I haven't tried it.

I didn't know they were called "bellows pocket" but my weight pockets are on the belt plus they are attached to the back plate--they can't fall off. I tried adding additional weight pockets to the waist belt for those thicker wet suit times and they kept sliding off the belt so I now have a Velcro daisy-chain to keep them from slipping off with donning/doffing.

Our pockets are on the left, buckle side which keeps it in place. On the right side is our can light which is kept in place by a plastic tri-glide.

i have tied my pockets to the BP with a piece of paracord.
