What we need is Nautilus to put PLB electronic in their MRG body. The PLB electronic doesn’t seem to require much space as we see in Breitling Emergency wrist watch. Under the MRG cap is mostly for storing the batteries.

What we need is for a manufacturer to make a canister for their device.

What do you mean? Buy a PLB. Buy a PLB canister. Problem solved. The issues arise when people start over thinking things.

Unfortunately, the PLB canisters don’t have the best of reviews.

People complain a lot about inconsequential issues. Every dive light will eventually flood and every camera housing will eventually flood if the o rings aren't perfect or serviced.

The dynamics of keeping water out of a large screwed together plastic canister is much different than a small diameter metal light. Nevertheless, an ounce of water can ruin your camera or light, whereas an ounce of water will have no ill effect on a PLB that is waterproof to 30 feet. Furthermore, a PLB like the ResQLink will handle far more pressure, but the problem is the buttons will depress if it's not in a canister.

I only have 4 dives on my custom divers canister but I have not had a single drop of water inside. Total failure and full pressure inside would be very bad for the PLB (fatal ?) but a bit of leakage would have no effect as it is designed to be waterproof (just not to the depth I will take it)
