Thanks for all the replies! We took the setup for a dive and it worked great (no free flows thus far). time will tell. She liked the Z2 a lot as well. For my personal setup, I use an A700/MK25 set at 1.0 cracking with 7 foot hose and Legend second stage on a necklace set at 1.2.
My girlfriend just bought an Atomic Z2 and an aqualung ABS octo to go with it. Im just not sure that they are compatible. What is the intermediate pressure for the AL ABS octo?
Side by side the 30lb vs 40lb wing, there is an extremely minimal difference in dimension. I have dove a 25lb bladder before and found that when i did have to take it off in the water, It would sink (with maximum gear attached) with the bladder fully inflated. I also do not like inflating the...
After diving with this setup a few times now. I'm glad I did not switch out my gauge console hose. It is the correct length. Any smaller than the standard size hose and I would not be able to view it. Especially with a tight 5mm hood. I'm definitely going to go to a wrist computer for all...
With all the stuff I carry and buoyant wetsuit, i got it for worst case scenario as well. I seen the both, there is barely any difference in how streamlined they are. I also carry extra weight since my tank is 9.5 lbs negative when full and 1.5 positive when empty.
Agree 30 is plenty of lift...
My AAS is actually on the port directly in front of the rear port (the port in front of the open port in my pic).
As far as hose lengths. Because i have a bigger chest and back than most, the 24 inch hose is the minimum for my AAS. I have tried every port combo for the AAS and what it is...
Yes:D. I was actually figuring out which port was best for my backup second stage. I actually had to go with a 24 inch hose instead of 22 as well.
I was also told the oceanic computers are prone to water intrusion. (i actually know of 2 who each had VEO 250s this happened to) Mine has been...
For my setup, it actually seems to be the perfect length. I sometimes sling an AL40 on my left side and the console can clip to the crotch D-ring perfect. I might go to a shorter hose eventually, i want to use it a little and see. As far as an SPG replacement, i also use a wrist computer for...
Just got it and trying it out tomorrow in shallow water to get the trim weighting correct! Infinity system with 40lb eclipse wing! and 6lb SS back plate. After seeing both the 30lb and 40lb wings next to each other inflated, there really is no reason to get the 30. They have nearly the same...
