    Scuba Dubai - Liquidation Sale

Too bad and very sad to hear this. I think these guys were the best in the UAE. Friendly and very knowledgeble staff. Just wondering who is going to take over the nitrox business. Just want to know in case I end up there and want a to rent a tank.

    Liveaboards in Gulf of Oman

Sheesha beach travel also does live-aboards, also on dhows (from Dibba port, just like Al Marsa): Sheesa Beach Travel Both (Al Marsa and Sheesha) do an excellent job. Al Boom does some short live-aboards (couple of days), mostly when there is an extended weekend like with Eid, national...

Supplier and servicing in Dubai / Middle East???

As far as I know, Al Boom doesn't service Apeks, but that is done by Scuba Dubai. They are located close to Al Khail road. Take Al Khail road towards Sharjha, get off at the roundabout which goes to Mall of the Emirates. First street on the right, about 200 m further down the street is Scuba...

    Dive Shop in Dubai

As far as I know, Al Boom does 3 dives every day in fujeirah from the Al Aqah hotel by speedboat to divesites close to the hotel. They also do speedboat and dhow trips from Dibba to Mussandam (also daytrips). Al Boom does speedboat trips in Dubai, mostly from the Jebel Ali site I believe. Al...

    Dived Musandam Lately?

I was there three weeks ago. The red tide is starting to come up. It is already present around Dibba harbour, but up north (Lima rock, ....) its fine. Fujeirah was a mess, very low vis (2-4 m). Dubai was very hot, around 34°C surface temp, around 32°C at 10 m deep.

    Oman August-September

Never been to Daymaniyat Islands, but mussandam is nice. Depends on where you start from. Dibba or Khasab. Dibba is on the Indian ocean side close to the UAE border, 1.5 h drive from Dubai. Al marsa runs nice and good dhows. Al boom is more commercial and runs open dhows (no ac). Khasab is...

    Dive Shop in Dubai

Oops, sorry my fault, Al Boom is indeed Aqua Lung. Is there a Nautica (or a dive shop) in Marina Mall? Never saw it and it's not on the list of shops.

    Dive Shop in Dubai

Massood and Pavillion are the same (both Mares shops). Pavillion is the dive centre connected to Jumeirah Beach hotel. Scuba Dubai is mostly ScubaPro gear, indeed they do the service for all dive shops, they are close to Pavillion (I think they are 5-10 km from each other, you can see Burj...

Need advice about diving in Dubai or Musandam in early March

Mussandam or east coast is the best. Dubai is sandy bottom (with wrecks as artificial reef) and visibility is very limited because of the dredging works (palm, the world, ...). Most of the marine life is on the east coast and Mussandam. It's about 1 to 1.5 h trip from Dubai. Al Boom is good...

    Dived Musandam Lately?

Red tide is still there, it comes and goes with open patches. 2 weeks ago, Fujeirah, Sharm Rocks and Martini Rock: bad vis, open patches, but also dark parts with vis = 2 m. last week: Lima Rock: excellent vis, app. 10 m, lots of fish, further up north (Sharkham), less red tide. Lots of...
