Me and my buddy dived vets park today for the first time. Pretty cool spot, right when we got there we had ankle biter waves. But after we suited up and started to enter they started to pick up pretty big. We dropped down to about 25' and kept cruising and stoped around the 100' range(maxed at...
Went again as a tag along with the AoW class to finish up. Only did one dive and maxed about 27' for 55 minutes. Temp was about 54 and the vis was 5-10'. Not bad, tons of octopus EVERYWHERE, in rocks, in the open and shooting around in all sizes. Not a bad way to end the day with a killer sunset...
Noooooo we just went out to the sandy parts but I have done the rocks before, and yes its a long swim to them 30-40 minutes just to get to them. And yes it was a AoW class, one of the few places you can do a nice deep dive off shore.
Went out with a class as a tag along and just to get wet. But water temp was 53 degrees with viz ranging from 15-25 feet depending on depth. Did 3 dives and all in all they were pretty good. Saw a bunch of sea life suprisingly in such a sandy area. Dolphins were out in full force and when we...
When out for about 730 for a 45 minute dive roughly. Conditions werent that great, saw a few Horn sharks, angel shark, one really big octopus out in the open, that was a treat. Viz was about an average of 5-10 feet. Hope this helps. Cheers

awesome videos. I was on the boat too. Yeah the sea lion dive was awesome. Fun but long day, I love the Spectre. Might have to go again this sunday! haha
I live in the Ventura area and the last time I stopped by the "dive shop" (sept) they were out of business for not paying rent. and anyone who had gear or tanks in there for repair got taken with it...the owner is REAL SHADY from what all the other people around him said...
cool, thanks for all the input. Yeah I'm saving money right now but looking to buy a camara in the next month or two. So looks like I might go the canon S95 combo then if its something better to grow with over time. And as for strobes, I wouldnt want to get one till I fully learned the camara...
Never really been into it, but would like to start taking photos for friends and family of what I see under the water. I dont know what to really start with, but i was looking at the SeaLife DC1200 Digital Underwater Camera Elite Kit. Is that a good choice?
