    Actual Experience with Shearwater AI

I just returned from a week of diving in Kona and really enjoyed the Perdix AI. I did not ever loose connection with the Oceanic transmitter. Since I have always been a Suunto owner, I found the Perdix incredibly easy to operate. It is so intuitive. What I also enjoyed was the long battery...

    Shearwater Perdix AI

Received the Perdix a couple of weeks ago and got a chance to use it in Hawaii for about 17 dives. it is a joy to see that bright blue screen. it is so easy to read and very easy to set up. I really like the dive log menu and the ease of setting your Nitro settings. It connected quickly to...

    Oceanic VTX Dive Computer

I have owned the VTX. It is a beautiful computer and worked flawlessly. I sold mine after about 2 months of owning it. You can not see the display in bright sunlight - like when you are doing a dive plan on the surface. The battery life is very short. It will last a couple of days of...

    Recreational wireless computer options

My wife has been using the Oceanic VT3 for over 200 dives. It has proven to be very reliable and easy for her to read and navigate. I am sure you will like the VT 4. I have owned the Oceanic VTX and would not recommend it. The battery life is very short (less than 10 hours) if you turn the...

    Battery replacement for Suunto D4i?

I don't recall the correct size, but my screw diver kit had the correct bit. You might check YouTube that is where I learned how to do it.

    Atomic Cobalt reliability

I have finally given up on my Cobalt. I have sent it back to Atomic on two occasions - Compass issues and magnets rusting. I know mine was the version 1, but I don't care. I paid a lot of money for it and I never expected to have to send it back to the manufacture. The final straw was on my...

    Oceanic VTX

I have owned the VTX and ended up selling it. I just didn't care for the display when you try to read it in the sunlight. You really just can't see it. If you can get in the shade, it is OK, but not great. I also had to send my first one back to Oceanic and get it exchanged because the...

Aeris A300 CS OLED in Florida

I have the Oceanic version VTX and it works fine underwater in the Caribbean. You just have a really hard time reading it in the sunlight above water.

The 60mm lens also works in the Zen port. I have had very nice results.

Sea and Sea treeted me right

I had just recently purchased a pair of YS-01s and one of them quit working while on a dive trip to Cozumel. It was the first dive I had used either of them. There was no sign of leakage in the battery compartment, but you could see some water in the lens. When I returned back home, I called...

YS 01 STROBE DEAD / NO indicator RED LIGHT TURN ON

Hi, I just experienced the same problem as the OP. I just sent my new strobe to Sea and Sea for repair. What was your outcome from Sea and Sea?

Best strobe for an Olympus E-PL6?

I recently purchased a similar set up: ELP-5, 2 - YS-01's, and the Olympus housing. I love the setup. I added a Zen dome for my 9 - 18mm lens for wide angle shooting. I think you will enjoy your EPL-6 and highly recommend the Sea/Sea YS-01 strobes.

Oly 60mm macro lens in the Zen WA-100 dome

Here is one of that little fish that is not as compressed as well as one other shot.

Oly 60mm macro lens in the Zen WA-100 dome

Since I dislike changing domes for fear of O ring failure, I thought I would try my Oly 60MM lens in the dome I bought for my 9 -18 mm wide lens. I am using the EPL-5 with the Oly housing and a pair of Sea/Sea YS-01 strobes. I am no "professional" when it comes to underwater photography, but I...

    First Thougths - Oceanic VTX

The battery life was just fine. It still says the battery is good and I dove 9 dives for a total of around 8 hours. Since the battery is a standard CR2 I really wasn't concerned about replacing it. I always carry extra batteries and O rings, so replacing it is no big deal.

    First Thougths - Oceanic VTX

I just finished a 4 day dive with the new Oceanic VTX (Formally the Aeris A300). Since I am a huge Oceanic fan and owned the OC1, I am very familiar with their computer menu navigation. The VTX is very easy to setup and navigate. The screen is beautiful underwater, but above water you just can't...

    OC1 Strap Replacement

When I changed my rubber strap to the titanium, I broke the screw that holds the strap to the computer. I called Oceanic and they promptly sent me a replacement screw. I would call Oceanic and ask them about getting a new rubber strap. I would be they have them.

    Cetatek Warp1 fins?

My wife got her's and we have just completed 10 dives in Belize using them. She says they are very comfortable and is happy with them. They must work, since she had no problem what-so-ever with them.

    Aqua Cat out of Bahamas

Since I have not been to the Bahamas before, I dont know what they use to look like. I can say, that I thought the reefs looked fine and I took hundreds of pictures of them and was impressed with their color. (see my first thread with 2 of them). As I mentioned earlier, I would like to go...

    Aqua Cat out of Bahamas

The water temp was between 72 and 74 degrees. We wore a 5mm suit and were very comfortable. You can dive on your own, or request to dive with one of the 4 dive masters, your choice. You had several choices of tank sizes. I don't recall the size, but there were at least 3.
