I have the Oceanic version VTX and it works fine underwater in the Caribbean. You just have a really hard time reading it in the sunlight above water.

I recently purchased a similar set up: ELP-5, 2 - YS-01's, and the Olympus housing. I love the setup. I added a Zen dome for my 9 - 18mm lens for wide angle shooting. I think you will enjoy your EPL-6 and highly recommend the Sea/Sea YS-01 strobes.

The battery life was just fine. It still says the battery is good and I dove 9 dives for a total of around 8 hours. Since the battery is a standard CR2 I really wasn't concerned about replacing it. I always carry extra batteries and O rings, so replacing it is no big deal.

When I changed my rubber strap to the titanium, I broke the screw that holds the strap to the computer. I called Oceanic and they promptly sent me a replacement screw. I would call Oceanic and ask them about getting a new rubber strap. I would be they have them.
