Glad you enjoyed your stay in the Philipppines! I concur on both. Amorita is a pretty nice resort - loved the place when I stayed there. Sierra Madre is a nice dive op as well. Crew was very friendly and their boat was pretty neat!
This cracked me up. :P I'm glad despite some of the bad things you exprienced that you still enjoyed your stay in my country. Hope you'll come back for more adventure in the future! Hehe. Great pics btw. :)
agree! i squeezed in a few dives with sierra madre dive ops last march on my trip to cebu. pretty good op - very accommodating and friendly. their boat is very comfortable too specially since balicasag is about 30mins away from alona beach.
I was there a few months ago. It's pretty isolated and it's about 10 to 15 mins away from the nearest restaurant. If you want to try different restaurants though you should probably stay at a resort along the Panagsama Beach. There's a ton of resorts, restaurants and bars there (too crowded for...
tarponchik: typically here the budget airlines will allow 10kg check in luggage. if you go over it then you pay a few hundred pesos at the airport. but some airlines like cebu pacific (biggest budget airline in the philippines) if you pay for it upfront when you book online it's cheaper - 300...
hi,
i'm going to bohol and plan to dive with a couple of my friends on the 27th and 28th of march. any recommendations on good dive operators there? appreciate the help!
:D
Can you guys recommend a good dive operator in the Balingaon and Camiguin area? I'm going there with my friends this Sept 21. If you guys can also recommend decent places to stay in Balingaon that would be much appreciated!
:)

wow what a thread. healthy discussion i must say. :D
as a 62 230lbs guy air consumption is near and dear to my heart. on my first 10 dives i was doing 25mins to 30mins bottom time only with shallow dives of about 40 to 50 feet. i felt bad for my dive buddies because they had to deal with that...
leadweight - glad you had a grand time diving here in the phil! took up diving a few months ago and i must say i'm hooked! i'm glad i live here so i don't have to travel too far to quench my thirst for the underwater world.
Taglish FTW! hahaha... have fun on your up coming dives!
lol. maybe i should take your word for it. i wear a shortie too. haven't been stinged by anything yet though so maybe i'll learn my lesson when that time comes. hehe.
currier - glad to hear you had a great time in bohol. i'm planning on going there this december with my friend. i went to...
Hi BeeCee,
Whale sharks, or Butanding as we call it locally here in the Phil, is basically a snorkeling experience (at most you can skin dive to get a better view and avoid getting kicked in the face by other people! :P). You are not allowed to go scuba diving in the area where the Whale...
