Thanks everyone. I ended up submitting it with my primary health insurance. They're not covering much either. My advice, if you get sick on a cruise, don't go to the infirmary unless you're ready for a huge out of pocket expense.
Non diving accidents are listed as $10,000 lifetime benefit with a $250 deductible.
Yes, I was shocked at the cost as well. They really bone you on a cruise ship. Never mind that I lost 3 days of my cruise being quarantined to my room.
Has anyone tried to use their DAN Insurance for a non-diving accident? My coverage lists $10,000 life time benefit with a $250 deductible for non-diving accidents.
I was recently on a cruise ship where I came down with the flu and was treated by the doctors on staff. The total medical bill was...
Hey Scubaboard,
I'm looking for recommendations for a dive op in Cozumel for a cruise ship stop in February.. We used NCL's chartered boat last time and swore "never again!"
I'm looking for a 6 pack boat that can accommodate a mix of dive experience. We're in port 9-5pm and looking for a 2...
Who were you diving with? I may have been on your boat. We did the Hyde with Aquatic Safari's out of Wilmington yesterday. The vis was the worst I've seen it. We still saw the sand tiger sharks though so it made it worth the trip. We have been to the Hyde many times and could navigate it blind...
GoPro Silver 4. 1080p@60. Protune On, WB: GoPro, 1080 superview. Flip 4 Red Filter. Dual Archon DV11 video lights. Brightness and Contrast adjusted in Premiere. The finished video is almost exactly how it looks coming off the camera, I just tweaked the exposure in a few spots.
Here is a video of my second dip on the Spiegel Grove. This was my first trip to the ship and it was all that I had hoped and more. I can't wait to go back and dive it again.
The current was described to us as moderate to heavy, we were the only boat out. (others followed as we came up from...
When they say overfill in this thread, I assume they're talking about filling it to "cave" fills of 3000-3400 psi. That would definitely be overfill for the 2400 or 2640 rating of the LP 85.
Some shops may fill your LP85 to 3000 psi because it is similar in size to an AL80 or the person on the...
The + rating allows the 10% overfill from 2400. If you have a current + rating on your hydro I would not consider this an "overfill" because it's rated for that pressure. I have a pair of LP 85's that just came out of their first hydro. Make sure you ask for the + rating when it goes in and they...
I would ask yourself why you want to become a DM? If the answer is to teach or as a stepping stone to Instructor then great! If the answer is to make yourself a better diver, I wouldn't spend the money as that isn't what DM is all about.
From a technical standpoint, your CSS is loading after the content. This is causing the page to "flash" as it applies the new CSS. Include your CSS in the head section before the content to prevent the page from re-flowing like that.
I really don't understand what Revan's beef is with the BCD. I mean really, who can argue this much against its usefulness unless you have some other agenda. And if 2 lbs can mess up your buoyancy then I don't really know what to say to something like that. Others have already established that...
