My last thread kind of got off target with the conversation about the cinch system. There are arguments for and against it, and it seems like you either really like it or really don't like it. I personally have never dove without it, but after hearing strong opinions against it I may take it off...

I sent an old pioneer wing to Halcyon with the same problem. just got a new Eclipse wing in exchange today. They really stand behind their products. When it broke I wasn't sure it would be replaced with another Halcyon because of the cost, but I am going to give them all of my business from now on.

Halcyon said that they could not repair my old pioneer wing. I had not heard anything from them since last Thursday and today UPS showed up and dropped off a box from Halcyon. Odd, I figured it was them sending me back my old wing. I opened it and it was a brand new Eclipse 30 and single tank...

As of Friday they do have it, but haven't had time to look at it.... Corey Smith, manager of technical services, is very prompt with his e-mail, but they must have alot going on this time of year. So I am waiting on word from them.

That makes sense. I have never used doubles so it has never been a problem. I can see where getting the same adjustment every time could be a problem.

Halcyon told me $100 for a bladder when I told them it was an eclipse. Now I find out it is a pioneer and the bladder is not replaceable. I sent it to Halcyon to see what they say but there is no internal bladder and the flange is welded I'm sure there is not much they can do

After some research it looks like I have an old broken pioneer wing... So back to my original question. Should I go with a halcyon wing or does it make sense to buy a cheaper wing? Is Halcyon worth the extra cost?

Halcyon said that it is welded and can not be replaced but they can replace the whole bladder for about $100. I guess that beats $500 for a new wing. Thanks for the help guys
